I work for credit unions. Weird that when someone asks me about myself that’s the first thing that comes to mind, but I guess it’s how I define who I am and where I am. I love what I do and I love what credit unions do. Because of credit unions and my work with them, I live in Washington D.C. I’ve met people more wonderful than I’ve ever imagined (and a lot of them!), and I’ve learned about financial institutions that care more about people than finances. It’s my kind of world.

My home (just two blocks from my Capitol Hill office) is a little one-bedroom, low-ceilinged basement condo where I live with a 90-lb dog and a 6′3″ man. It’s a little cramped– certainly not the Big Sky Country we got used to in Montana– but it works for now.

When I’m not working, I like to run, I like to read, and I like to shop. Not necessarily in that order.

I’ve been blessed to meet so many people in my life and in my career and I guess if I had only one goal it would be to make a positive impression on all those I meet. (If I’m being honest, I’d say it’s to get everyone to like me, but people think that’s a) unrealistic and b) a bit needy, so I’ve wordsmithed it a bit)

So, there you have it… Me, in a nutshell: Pro credit union. Pro people.
